Office Tinting:
Security Films

Security Film is a clear (or tinted) layer of peace of mind. Should
an intruder attempt to break into your premises through the glass
in a window or door, these films will significantly increase the amount
of time to penetrate the glass. Customers who have had this product
installed have reported that burglars had spent considerable time
trying to break in with a brick with repeated strikes against the
glass only to give up in frustration after only achieving a small
hole. Whilst they have been required to replace their glass, none
of their stock was stolen and there was no malicious damage inside
the property. Their insurance company paid for their glass and Security
film replacement – a lot cheaper than had the thieves entered
the property.
Recently an Art Gallery approached us, where
their insurance company advised them that they would not provide insurance
cover until Security film was fitted to their glass. Similar to, but
stronger than Safety Film, Security Film provides the added benefit
of protection to people and property in the event of accidental damage
through human impact, natural disasters or incidental damage such
as a stone thrown up by a lawn mower etc.
Bekaert Specialty Films has a range of high end Security Films called
“Armorcoat”. We have been appointed as a Melbourne Dealer
for this film. These films are actually fixed to the frames and the
glass with a world patented fixing system. With this fixing system,
they have been tested to withstand the shock wave of an explosion.
Following this, ball bearings were repeatedly fired at it. Following
this, the test then increased and decreased pressure, to simulate
a Cyclone etc. The glass stayed in place in the frame!
As flying glass after natural disasters or acts of terrorism has caused
many horrific injuries, Armorcoat has recently been fitted to many
of the significant landmark buildings in the USA.
